Psalms 137:8,9 O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be that rewards you as you have served us.(a Psalm of retribution). Happy shall he be, that takes and dashes your little ones against the stones.

Sounds inhuman and cruel. Who would do this to anyone? and coming from God in the scriptures??? What is this? It's referring to the reaping of what the ancient Babylonian system had sown.

It was the time of the Old Testament Law which has been superceded by the laws of love:.Matthew 22:36-40. The 'eye for an eye' and 'tooth for a tooth' concept of the Old Testament reigned as a guideline for judges to administer justice:.Exodus 21:24; Leviticus 24:20; Deuteronomy 19;21.

It didn't apply for reasons toward an individual's revenge:.Leviticus 19:18 "You shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbour as yourself..."; Proverbs 24:29. The law of the universe is 'one reaps what he has sown'. It's not the thinking of Creator-God that any should perish:.2Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not...willing that any should perish...";.Matthew 5:38-45. It's just that this is one of the universal laws set up by the Creator so humanity would have impetus to learn ways of higher consciousness which were better for him. Humanity unfortunately, had to be taught by experience, the experience of reaping whatever he had sown. Like water, it can be used to quench one's thirst or to drown someone or like fire, to cook food or to burn someone's dwelling place down or like your voice and attitude, it can be used to be kind or to castigate another. The reap/sow law works for good as well as evil:.Matthew 18:7. The choice is with the individual.

Psalms 138:3 In the day when I cried God  answered me and strengthened me with strength in my soul.

Psalms 138:4 All the kings of the Earth shall praise you, O God, when they hear the words of your mouth.

Psalms 139:1-3 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. O God, you have searched me and known me. You know my downsitting and mine uprising, you understand my thought afar off. You compass my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.

Psalms 139:4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O God, you know it altogether.

Psalms 139:5,6 You have beset me behind and before and laid your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

Psalms 139:7 Whither shall I go from your spirit? or whither shall I flee from your presence?

Psalms 139:8 If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. if I make my bed in hell, behold, you are there.

Psalms 139:9,10 If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there shall your hand lead me and your right hand shall hold me.

Psalms 139:11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me, even in the night shall your light be about me.

Psalms 139:12 Yea, the darkness hides not from you but the night shines as the day. The darkness and the light are both alike to you.

Psalms 139:13 For you have possessed my reins.(Psalms 7:9). You have covered me in my mother's womb.

Psalms 139:14 I will praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are your works and that my soul knows right well.
Psalms 139:14 I will praise you for I am fearfully.(or 'amazingly' so as to inspire awe and respect for your body in such a way as to always protect it, as it's the vehicle for your spirit connected to the Soul).and wonderfully made.(original for 'wonderfully' is 'separate', that is, David is saying that he realized that humans came out of the invisible from a pattern the Infinite One designed to harbor the soul). Marvelous.(marvelous, for example, the cells 1, 2, 3, 4).are your works and that my soul knows right well.
Psalms 139:15.(closer to the original). My substance.(what I was to become).was not hid from you, when I was made in secret and curiously wrought in the under parts of the Earth's inhabitants.(the womb of a woman and the penis of a man created a baby by result of the act of sex).

Psalms 139:16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect.(original is 'wrapped together', recognized by translators as an embryo and fetus and etc., the patterns humans go through as they grow physically).and in your book all my members were written.(God designed the human body and the patterns used as it grows), which in continuance.(2Timothy 1:9).were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
Original is 'your eyes see my births as pages in a book where everything is written, all days formed as one'.

And, it all comes out of the invisible grid.

Psalms 139:17 How precious also are your thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

Psalms 139:18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand and when I awake, I am still with you.

Psalms 139:22 I hate them with perfect hatred and I count them mine enemies.
Barnes Notes: I hate them with perfect hatred, meaning with no approval whatever of their conduct, no sympathy for the evil they do, no words of apology for their sinful acts and with entire disapprobation. I count them my enemies as they are the enemies of God, so I regard them as my enemies. I do not wish to be associated with them or to be regarded as one of them:.1Thessalonians 5:22.
Psalms 139:23 Search me, O God and know my heart. Try me and know my thoughts.
David was a man who wanted God to know all about him.
Psalms 139:24 And see if there be any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.
What do we need to do in order to allow God to cleanse us? The Creator has His technologies. We need to learn them.
Psalms 140:1-5 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David: Deliver me, O Lord, from the evil man. Preserve me from violent men who imagine mischiefs in their heart. Continually are they gathered together for war. They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent. Adders' poison is under their lips. Selah. Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked. Preserve me from the violent man who have purposed to overthrow my goings. The proud have hid a snare for me and cords. They have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins.(a gin is a bait, lure, snare; the devil's tricks).for me. Selah.

Psalms 140:12 I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted and the right of the poor.
That is, David, who wrote this Psalm, knew God will make sure the judgment against the evils afflicting the needy and poor would be done.

More on the poor amongst you:.John 12:8.

Psalms 140:13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto your name. The upright shall dwell in your presence.
How will the upright dwell in God's presence?
