Samuel Adams.born September 27, 1722, Boston, died October 2, 1803, Boston.
Adams was a signer of the Declaration of Independence. He was later lieutenant governor (1789–93) and governor (1794–97) of Massachusetts. He was all for American Independence from Britain, especially so with taxes on everyones income and purchases, the British were instituting.
