But when his disciples saw it, they were indignant and said, To what purpose is this waste? For this ointment might have been sold for much and given to the poor. When Emmanuel heard it, he said unto them, Why trouble you the woman? For she has wrought a good work upon me. For you have the poor always with you, but me you have not always. For in that she has poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also be this, that this woman has done be told for a memorial of her.

Matthew 26:25 Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, You have said.

Matthew 26:26,27 And as they were eating, Emmanuel took bread and blessed.(original for word 'blessed' is 'give thanks for', compare.Luke 9:16.with.John 6:11); In the books of Matthew and Mark the Lord took bread and 'blessed' it. In Luke and in 1Corinthians 11:24, He gave thanks for it..James 1:17 "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights.").it and brake it and gave it to the disciples.(Matthew 10:1-4).and said, Take, eat. John 6:57.

Matthew 26:34,35 Emmanuel said unto him, Verily I say unto you, That this night, before the cock crow, you shall deny me thrice. Peter said unto him, Though I should die with you, yet will I not deny you.(of all the disciples {Acts 1:15}, Peter was the brashest; usually the first to jump in with his opinions before thinking). Likewise also said all the disciples.

Matthew 26:36 Then came Emmanuel with them unto a place called Gethsemane and said unto the disciples, Sit here, while I go and pray yonder.

Matthew 26:37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
Original adds 'to be full of great dislike toward' as to what He was soon to go through (*).
Matthew 26:38 Then said he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful.(different original word here for sorrowful than in above verse and means here 'extremely heavy sorrow'), even unto death. Tarry.(old English for 'wait').you here and watch with me.

There was more to the crucifixion than dying.
Matthew 26:40 And he came unto the disciples and found them asleep and said unto Peter, What, could you not watch and pray with me one hour?

Matthew 26:41 Watch.(that is, be alert to what's going on).and pray, that you enter not into temptation.(original for word temptation is 'experiment', 'attempt', 'trial', 'proving', 'concealing things to separate' {that is, they don't show their true intentions, that being to keep you apart from God}, such as would be a corrupt government of any level, dictating rules apart from the law of love {covid con anyone?}, to see if they've sucked you in enough to comply with their stupid and tyrannical people control suggestions). The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
How to get stronger spiritually:.Ephesians 6:13.
Matthew 26:42 He went away again the second time and prayed saying, O my Father if this cup may not pass away from me except I drink it, your will be done.

In Luke's account of it, Emmanuel reached up and healed his ear after it was cut off:.Luke 22:50,51.
Matthew 26:52 Then said Emmanuel unto him, Put up again your sword into his place. For all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
Revelation 13:10; sword is also symbolic of how spiritual words reveal an individual to himself.
Matthew 26:53 Think you that I cannot now pray to my Father and he'll presently give.(original for 'he'll presently give' is 'to set at hand', 'provide', 'stand beside', that is, cause to stand right here with me:.Hebrews 13:5).me more than twelve legions.of angels?
And true of you too; why?

Emmanuel willingly offered up himself.(2Corinthians 4:10; Hebrews 7:27; Matthew 26:53).so we could be equal to him, as a brother to him in the eyes of the Father, fully adopted into the family.

Matthew 26:54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled.(Isaiah 53rd chapter), that thus it must be?

Matthew 26:55 In that same hour said Emmanuel to the multitudes, Are you come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple and you laid no hold on me.

Matthew 26:56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets.(prophesied.in.Isaiah 53:6, some 700 years+ before this time).might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him and fled.
They must have figured he was nuts.
Matthew 26:57 And they that had laid hold on Emmanuel led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.

Matthew 26:58 But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace and went in and sat with the servants, to see the end.

Matthew 26:59,60 Now the chief priests and elders and all the council.(Matthew 5:22), sought false witness.(those who would lie, no doubt for money).against Emmanuel to put him to death.(showing how corrupt these religious leaders of the day back then were), But found none. Yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none.(they found none whom they thought would be convincing enough, until later). At the last came two false witnesses,

There's always a few out there somewhere who would sell their mother for a nickel.

Matthew 26:61 And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days.

Matthew 26:62 And the high priest arose and said unto him, Answer you nothing? what is it which these witness say against you?

Matthew 26:64 Emmanuel said unto him, You have said. Nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall you.(in his lifetime; this high priest back then would see this).see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Matthew 26:65 Then the high priest rent.(to tear apart; a custom back then).his clothes, saying, He has spoken blasphemy. What further need have we of witnesses.(leading the crowd by what is called today predictive programming).Beholdnow, you have heard his blasphemy.
Shows how close-minded the high priest was. He obviously didn't know the scriptures he should have known about Christ's appearance on Earth as a man or maybe he did and just was highly satanically influenced.
Matthew 26:66-68 What think you? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.(probably had a few of his own kind set up in the crowd to lead others in this way of building an emotion against Emmanuel). Then did they spit in his face and buffeted him.(pushed him around, no doubt from behind).and others smote him with the palms of their hands, Saying, Prophesy unto us, you Christ, Who is he that smote you?

Matthew 26:69-73 Now Peter sat without in the palace and a damsel came unto him, saying, You also were with Emmanuel of Galilee. But he denied before them all, saying, I know not of what you say. And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Emmanuel of Nazareth. And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man. And after a while came unto him they that stood by and said to Peter, Surely you also are one of them, for your speech bewrays.(clearly and evidently tells us differently).you.

Matthew 26:74 Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.

Matthew 26:75 And Peter remembered the word of Emmanuel, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, you shall deny me thrice. And he went out and wept bitterly.
