Preachers Who Misuse Tithing Scriptures There is a guy that goes around the country and preaches that if you give, (especially on his anointed night) that he has a hundred fold anointing on his life! It just so happens that's the night he is receiving the offering for himself. And do you know what promise goes out? If you will give (and it's called memorial giving) that these memorials will go up before God and that God will save your family because of this memorial gift! Now folks, that is the height of witchcraft in the church. I'm just going to say it like it is. I'm in enough trouble as it is already. I can't get in more, so I might just as well say it like it is. It is witchcraft. The man takes up offerings as much as ninety to a hundred thousand dollars in any one service and even in small churches it is twenty to forty thousand dollars in one night meeting. You are told by him and others, that if you give these memorials you will get rich. Let me tell you how it actually works. If you go around preaching this, you will get rich. It does work for him. It is not because he gives it but because he takes it. You could get rich too, through a congregation of about five thousand people to manipulate and control. And that is all it is! When does it become manipulation? You ought to stand up and absolutely refute someone who would say that if you don't tithe that you will go to hell. Number one, they are absolutely poison to the body of Christ. Poison to the gospel. They are denying the Lord that saved them and us. Anyone who says that you are under a curse because you do not tithe, has denied that Emmanuel was made a curse for us that we might be made free from the curse of the law. Or, they can say it in other ways, such as "Oh, ya, you don't get the curse, but you missed the blessing." By virtue of the fact of where the religious community has placed the
logic for keeping the tithe, in the church, I am going to take their logic
and apply it to its fullest extent based on what Paul said. They say
the reason the tithe is still in effect is because it came before the law.
Turn to Galatians and we will apply Paul's logic to theirs. I may sound
agitated and irritated. I am not agitated and irritated with the body of
Christ. I am agitated and irritated to no end with people who are keeping
the church in bondage to the tithe. I believe that the stronghold of the
church is the tithe and until this stronghold is brought down we will never
see the power of God in the church. We as ministers, have to decide, do
we want your money, through cohesion
of the tithe or would we like to see the power of God? I believe that is
the choice.
